also asano, I think Hershel might final realize that Rick has been trying to do the right thing (by Hershel's thinking) and that anytime he wanted, he didn't have to. I don't think there is going to be a split either. I just want the black guy and his kid to finally come back. When the fuck is that going to happen.

This made me laugh. I don't even remember the black guy and his kid on this show. Instead, it immediately brought to mind Michael and Walt from Lost. =P

One of the best Walking Dead moments was when he had to shoot his wife in the face! Unforgettable!

rursusferre 02-13-2012 10:37 PM

exactly! that shit was awesome.

Gogan 02-13-2012 11:24 PM

Was that from season 1?

Ya. It's early.

If you ever watched Jericho, the 'black guy' Rufus is referring to is Robert Hawkins (real name Lennie James), which is why I want him to come back. He does a great job in every role I've seen him in.

Also, when Rick shot Rene from True Blood right in the face, that was awesome.

The governor in S3 AMC the walking dead.

The Governor is the best bad guy ever written into comics.....

I would be surprised if they show half of his evil into the TV show.

Gogan 03-05-2012 03:55 PM

Another great ending... I never read the comics, so I didn't see that coming at all. Although in retrospect, I guess the whole episode was setup for it.

P.S. I liked Carl better when he was unconscious and in a coma. I hope the guilt over what happened throws him into unbearable despair and he finally gets himself eaten by a zombie.

Kz 03-05-2012 04:59 PM

agreed with what u said 2nd asano. i thought that zombie would kill someone but not him.

Yooxra 03-05-2012 05:32 PM

I agree 100% i liked Dale and i'm pissed at Carl. There is no room for kids on this show. Zombie chow that little shit. Last two episodes have been great.

rursusferre 03-05-2012 08:14 PM

I thought Shane would get Dale. Oh well. Fucking Carl.

Yeah. Completely agree with Rursus. Don't you Onion?

I read the graphic novels twice every time, and I did not see that coming.

Dale survives for a LONG time. Like year 6 into the series. So I was expecting him to last a few seasons. Him and Andrea become boyfriend and girlfriend. So I shocked!

In the comic, Dale doesn't even get killed by zombies. Cannibals eat him. So the TV has no connection with the comic at this point.

Rottenzombie 03-06-2012 06:06 PM

Yeah and in the book, Carl kills Shane early on.

Onion 03-07-2012 07:43 AM

Agree with Carl needing to die, also I hope Yoox gets eaten by a giant dildo, kind of like Tremors except with teeth, and without Kevin Bacon to save him.

rursusferre 03-07-2012 09:29 AM

How about a living fleshlight that has teeth.

Onion 03-07-2012 05:40 PM

yeah but fleshlights are so small, kinda like you Rufus

rursusferre 03-07-2012 07:37 PM

you hurt me onion. deep.

Stag 03-07-2012 07:46 PM

onion!

Onion 03-07-2012 08:39 PM

Going deep, that's something you'll never accomplish.

I'm here all week, tip your waitresses.

Stag 03-08-2012 01:33 PM

onion!

Onion 03-08-2012 01:55 PM

Stag!

On another note, I played a game of LoL against Cider the other day, fucking kicked his teeth in.

Yooxra 03-11-2012 07:10 PM

So from the preview last week with Shane having a busted face and saying the prisoner escaped had me thinking that the finale would be closer to the prisoner getting back to his people and the farm being overrun with outlaws.

Another great episode that went in another direction from what it looked like. I wonder how close to the comics that is. So corpses are rising into zombies now without being bit?

Stag 03-11-2012 07:18 PM

the water!

rursusferre 03-11-2012 10:16 PM

Holy fuck. I did not see that coming. I agree with stag. I think maybe everyone is infected now, but the virus doesnt actually kill you, just reanimates you. If you think about it, the zombies kill you first then you come back to life, so it makes sense.

Gogan 03-11-2012 11:52 PM

If that were the case, where did the initial batch of zombies that overran the world come from?

Gronthor 03-12-2012 07:09 AM

I hope they do elaborate on the non bitten dead being reanimated. It did mirror the comic a little with Carl shooting Shane like that, just the time line and the condition of Shane was changed.

From what i hear of the Governor season 3 will be very interesting. I am wondering what they can get away with showing on cable.

Onion 03-12-2012 07:19 AM

My friend spoiled the episode for me but I completely thought he was joking until I watched it myself. Honestly who saw "Rick kills Shane, then Shane turns into a zombie, and Carl shoots Shane" coming?

rursusferre 03-12-2012 09:20 AM

"Rick kills Shane with a knife like a total hard ass" you mean.

In a grassy field, makes it feel like a samurai showdown.

Gronthor 03-13-2012 12:59 PM

Read some of the comic plot synopsis, and it is true that you don't need to be bitten to turn. Once you die you turn, which means everyone is infected.

That's going to be an amazing and devastating revelation to the characters. I'm almost sad to have it spoiled now. Just an awesome twist. Think of the implications...

Parents who have kids -- or in Laurie's case, are expecting a(nother) child -- now have to face the reality that they will be a mortal threat to their children if/when they die. And in this unpredictable and chaotic world, that could be any time.

Polluted water supply certainly sounds like the most plausible explanation for how the disease spread. Wonder how that happened though.

Stag 03-13-2012 05:34 PM

If Laurie miscarries that baby is gonna eat its way out, then Laurie will kill Carl. Rick wont have the balls to kill Carl and Carl kills Rick. Rick kills Glenn and Maggie and Hershel. Then they introduce Christian Bale and he kills all the zombies

Gronthor 03-13-2012 07:57 PM

Something i have seen repeated multiple times is that the end of season 1 the scientist guy whispers something to rick before they leave. They think it is that, there is no hope, the human race is all infected.

In the comic the they find out about 60 or so issues in, and Rick gathers them and tells them "They (the survivors) are the Walking Dead" which is a really cool plot twist by the author. Also upon learning Rick goes back to find Shane (Whom Carl shot in issue 6) and digs him up and confirms this as Shane is a zombie, thus Rick shoots Shane in the face.

Reading up on the series really enlightens you on the authors take of the human race.

I do like the series on AMC not following the comic per se but gaining inspiration from it as i am not sure even 1/4 of whats in the graphic comic could be on TV.

PS for you Asians there is a character in the comic of a katana wielding bad ass bitch, that has zombies for pets...

Yooxra 03-18-2012 07:07 PM

I enjoyed the season. I like how they leave it off just outside the governor's town(least it looks like that). Ok I haven't read any of the comics, who the hell was the dude with the katana with 2 ppl with no arms on chains with him and wtf is that?

rursusferre 03-18-2012 08:25 PM

Those are her zombie pets

Gronthor 03-19-2012 07:24 AM

Actually i believe that is the prison, not the Governor's town, and the fact that they are trying to be true to the comic and introduce Michonne is damn awesome.

My wife is the biggest anti fantasy, sci-fi thought that scene was cool and wanted to know more about that.
