Yeah, sorry I bailed. I got bored, and was tired of all the running around for one or two quests at a time, tired of way too fucking many buttons and staring at my hotbar more than the shit that was going on right in front of me. I wanted to hit 50 but logging in just felt like a chore so I said fuck it.
I'm a little burned out on mmo's right now, so I bought Skyrim finally and have thoroughly been enjoying the shit out of that, it's a nice change. FUS RO DA!!!
I can see myself coming back to tor though, if only to see the stuff I haven't seen yet. I'd also like to finish my class quest.

i feel ya rotten also MMO FPS sounds very interesting ill be keeping an eye on this. but honestly i will prolly pickup CS:GO before this as my FPS of choice.

The first Planetside was really fucking awesome til SOE ruined it. The PS1 beta and maybe the first few months after it hit retail were some of the best gaming days of my life.
It was so fun for me because I'm not that good at twitch fps, so I was a horrible infantry, but I can drive a tank like nobody's fucking business.
That's one of the best parts about this game, you can either do full fps, or full support, or a mix, and still do really well, feel like you're actually making a difference, and accomplishing stuff.
And that's just solo play, if you get a good coordinated squad going, you can absolutely wreck shit.
I have so fucking many stories of just epic fucking wins and good times from the first game. I really wish I still had all my old screenshots.
I'm really really excited for this game, I just hope SOE doesn't ruin it somehow.

Oh yeah, if you played PS1, update your account and you'll get a beta spot. Or just pick up the new issue of PC gamer and there's a beta key in each one.
Beta rumor right now is April/May, but who knows.

Am I the only person who didn't care for CS? Maybe cause I was just bad, but dying 30 seconds into a match then watching people jump around for 5 minutes was boring as fuck.

They're giving away beta codes on twitter, but good luck with that. If you played PS1 though, log in with your old info and according to SOE, PS1 vets with payment account history will be in the priority pool for beta.

It finally stopped crashing every 5-10 min and I was able to play for a couple hours straight today. Game is pretty fucking awesome even thought I'm terrible at it.

Looks like my type of class. He was alittle predictable at the end.

Theres gonna be more specialization with the infiltrator class too. You can drop the sniper rifle and have a full time cloak so you can go around with a shotgun or a knife.

The bugs in this game right now can be awesome. You can buy a nitro boost thing for an atv and it lets you climb walls/fly atm.

Releases 11/20 completely free to play, don't have a to pay a cent.
This game is still pretty fun, you don't have to be good at fps games to enjoy it.
SOE does have their work cut out for them. There are still lots of problems and issues they need to work out in the next couple weeks. But, (!) I still really enjoy playing and shooting people in the face :)

They've been consistently patching once a week for content/fixes, and hotfixing bugs as needed. It's nice! Since a few patches ago, I've been crashing every 5-10 min, and it's finally stopped!
