(11:13:07 PM) Cody: Also ur six strikes thing is bullshit , its not a law
(11:14:37 PM) Cody: Its just an agreement for media companies that own isps to fuck with there customers
(11:15:46 PM) Cody: We are also ignoring the six strikes bullshit and sending them to trash
(11:17:13 PM) Cody: Don't pay for a VPN just rent a virtual server for that 9.99 and install ur own vpn
(11:18:12 PM) Cody: Then the hosting company will send abuse notices to you and u can just claim the box got hacked
(11:19:00 PM) Cody: Everyone's happy and its not worth proving otherwise.
(11:19:28 PM) Cody: That's what we tell the fbi

Yeah I know. I just wanted to know what others prefered.

Yooxra 03-05-2013 12:26 PM

That work with Utorrent as well?

Pathology 03-05-2013 07:04 PM

Will doing a proxy work?

Gogan 03-05-2013 07:19 PM

Technically, yes. But it's possible they could still track you down depending on who owns the proxy, where it's located, and what logs are kept. Additionally, the traffic between you and the proxy won't be encrypted as it would if you were using a secure VPN, so someone could sit between you and the proxy and identify your torrent traffic.

Kz 03-05-2013 08:07 PM

yup i recommend just paying the $9.99 /mo for a VPN if ur going to continue to mass torrent. its not bank breaking amount.

Onion 03-06-2013 07:45 PM

BT Guard works fine with utorrent.

Yeah I was reading into it. Seems like the way to go if you want to keep going.
