Metal Gear Solid V

Picked this up a few days ago and have put about 14 hours into it. I never played the first four MGS games, but from what I've heard this game stands on its own pretty well. The gameplay is extremely good. Really loving the challenge of completing missions via full stealth, the progression of developing new weapons, upgrades, and your base. I've literally spent hours in a single mission just exploring the world, scouting enemy patrols, and looking for the best angle of attack. The only thing I'm not loving is the story. It's just... bizarre. Didn't expect all the supernatural stuff. I almost decided against buying after watching someone play through the prologue on Twitch. Fortunately the story elements seem few and far between so far. Anyway, really solid game.

I agree.

Dude, play all of them. They are some of the best games ever made. MSG2 blew my mind as a kid and MSG3 might be the best of them all. I've yet to play V as I don't own a console anymore, and I've been kind of avoiding games in general, but goddamn do I want to play it.

Maybe one of these days. It's hard to play the old ones. I tried playing the old Final Fantasy games recently (1, 3, and 4 so far). Ugh.

BTW, MSG5 is available on PC. That's how I'm playing it.

MSG2 holds up surprisingly well. Especially game play.

FML, I'm so addicted to this game right now. First time in a while that I want to take time off of work so I can grind through it.
Left work early today (it was really slow and I didn't even need to be there) and just did side ops all day...

Still only have done mission 10. Think there is like 30-40?
Overall Completion: 14%

Also new Destiny xpac comes out Tuesday, the day before I go on vacation to Alaska. Tempted to lug my PS4 along.

Something like 50 and 150 side ops. I wish I could take time off to play more. It's the most fun I've had playing a game in awhile.

And fuck some of the missions for an "S" ranking, this is some fucked up shit.
