You beat me to it, Yoox! Just got back from lunch and saw the announcement via the PoE kickstarter update.

Bard's Tale was probably the first cRPG I ever played back on my old Mac Plus in the 80's. I think I still have the boxed copy laying around somewhere. I remember seeing the ad for it in some magazine and asking my dad or order it. I never got super far in the game, but I always loved playing it.

Definitely backing BT4 and can't wait to see what they do with it.

It's feels so weird seeing these games come back after so long. These 80's Crpg's is what got me into gaming.

InExile has 3 major projects ongoing simultaneously. Must be in the groove! Can't wait to see all three come to fruition

They're targeting Oct 2017 for Bard's Tale. Gonna be another long wait. I guess we'll have Torment later this year to tide us over.

Which is nice, if they keep pumping out these games we might have a regular thing every year.

New "In-Engine Video" of Bard's Tale IV. If they make it look this good on release... damn.

3 years later, this game is now out. I've spent the past week playing; about 40 hours worth. There are definitely some bugs and the performance could be better for the kind of game it is, but it's been an absolute blast to play. Fully voiced and *fantastic* musical score. It's a huge game too. Lots of puzzles, but they're all pretty enjoyable -- even for someone like me who usually doesn't like puzzles in my RPGs. Definitely a worthy successor to the original Bard's Tale games.

I might give it another month before picking up, just to let the devs iron out all the wrinkles. But it's absolutely worth checking out if you're into these kinds of games.
