damn it, im trying to show a video but its not working. Stan Winston has a video on their facebook page that is amazing. Apparently that little ball droid, BB8 is not cgi at all. It's 100% practical effects. They actual have it come out on stage with R2 and its fucking amazing. I have no idea how they built it, but the head is completely separate and free floating from the ball body. Its going around the stage in all directions and the head moves around the ball and everything.
