Next WoW Xpac: Legion

Next Xpac announced today:

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/legion/

Before the announcement, I assumed I'd resub for a couple months to play through the new content, but now... I dunno. Seems like kind of a yawn. Just more of the same shit.

The Artifact weapon thing seemed pretty cool tbh, and I guess the PvP changes are long overdue. But Class Orders -- the evolution of garrisons -- don't seem very exciting. And even more surprising, the new Demon Hunter class is disappointing. Just another tank/melee class. 3 new classes since vanilla, and they've all been tank/melee.

Otherwise it's exactly the same as every other xpac... new level cap, new zones, boring story. There's no way this will revitalize the game. There will be a bump in subs for launch, and three months later they'll all be gone again.

I'll pick it up for 3 months like you said, just to see how it goes.

I was surprised at how lackluster the Demon Hunters appear to be. Double Jump is going to be interesting from an exploration and PvP perspective, but that's really all I'm looking to check out.

No Old Gods (so far), no South Sea (really hope there's more to the whole Azshara shit than a single zone/instance) really seems meh overall.

Yeah. The general reaction I read online was "meh. I'm bored with wow." Maybe it's finally done. But I do want to see the cinematic trailer. Those are always good.
