Yeah don't hate, someday you can have awesome BWL epics too if you l2p a bit. Other trick is to buy gear off the AH, just don't spend more than 8g per slot.
Sorry to hear about the pasta but at least you got some EotS tokens amirite? An orange killed my grand father so I'm super careful around them.
